Super typhoon Karding (Noru), which hit the Philippines in September, inundated many towns and left countless people isolated in its aftermath. Amid the increasing frequency of freakishly powerful storms, more and more Filipinos are learning to stock up on basic survival supplies. Even major companies have made it part of their CSR efforts to donate emergency equipment to vulnerable communities.
